Hi all. Happy Wednesday. What a hump day it is! We are finalizing preparations for the new Fall AGD collection and meanwhile...I'm giving you another sneak peek at the 3rd new design because I know how much you guys love this part. The sneak peeks that is. :) If I had a buck for every time I got an email from one of you guys letting me know what "torture" the sneak peeks are, I'd be rich by now. LOL!
I'm so excited to finally be utilizing these fabrics. They are so yummy! The turquoise colors, the zebra print, birds, chandeliers, and polka dots. How can you go wrong with that combo, eh? I'm envisioning a really cool photo shoot in a really cool zebra print chair in a really big field with this outfit. Shame I'm not home in Indy to get to my zebra print chair or my really big field. ha ha! I guess the beach will have to do, eh? Wink wink...!
Until then, please don't forget that the AGD sign/picture contest is starting Friday. Therefore, get those state/country represented pictures ready to go. Tell all of your friends. The more you pass it on, the more drawings you get in the bucket. Tell your blog buddies to post it on their blogs - for every buddy that posts and links back to my blog contest due to your referral, you get an extra five drawings and they also get entered into the contest. The give-a-way basket that the winner will receive is up to $150 in value at this point. I'll be featuring a photo of the give-a-way "goods" once the contest begins Friday. YAY! What fun. Can't wait!
For now, I'm off to clean up this house and get it presentable before my Dad and Cathy fly back in this Friday evening. They are coming and staying with us again for those next 5 days. Then, it's back out for more school clothes shopping. We attempted to start it last night and accomplished a few things but then I quickly decided that Brennen was going to be going to school naked this year because he detested everything I tried to pick out for him. I was suddenly propelled back in time to the days of when my own Mom took me school shopping and the fights we used to go thru in regards to the school clothes I liked and the ones she liked for me. At one point Brennen looked at me last night as we were rolling thru the store and said, "I don't care if you like it or not...I won't be wearing it...therefore, it's a waste of your and Dad's money." No joke! He said that. Totally said that to me. So...we managed to find a few odds and ends as well as the "famous" backpack that causes so many headaches each year but that was it. We are off to try and finish it all up tonight. "Try" is the key word here. And for Kenidi, haven't found her a thing. Not a stinkin' thing. She is generally so easy to buy for because she LOVES any and all clothes and NEVER gives me push back on what I buy her. (of course) But...I'm having trouble locating the "out of the box" school clothes for her this year that I'm used to finding down here. I have several little boutiques that we hit when in town but I was really disappointed in their selections this Summer. It's time to whip up some more AGD designs I guess. Oh speaking of that, wait until you see the new skirt that is coming out soon. I gained inspiration for the design via an adult women's skirt that I saw. We are going to attempt to scale it down to a child's size version and ROCK it out AGD style. I can't wait to show you guys the finished product. I might just need an adult replica of it for myself once all is said and done. I'm envisioning a really cool photo shoot with it too. Think hippie. Think boho. Think..."da' bomb diggity!"
Just wanted to get on here and post a couple of sneak peek shots real quick for ya. These are two new AGD designs that are being introduced as part of the Fall o9' collection. I hope to get the full sets photographed and ready for production in the next week or so. Once I do, I'll post the new images of them here as usual. It's been a while since I've last designed anything new. Therefore, I know you ladies are itchin' for some new goods. The Fall collection is sure to be a hit. Very hippy - very vintage - very 70's - very "let's throw down the peace sign" kinda' look. Ha ha! Just my kind of style. LOVE it!
I also just wanted to torture you all a bit with the "only get to see a square patch of the whole outfit" kinda' photo because I know how much you all just L-O-V-E the sneak peek shots, right? Ha ha! Can you tell it's my birthday today and I'm just being as ornery as all get out? Oh you know it! Yes, I'm celebrating the big 3-4 today. This year is a bit depressing given all of the recent medical issues - it just confirms that life is progressing and I'm aging. (even though my Dad did call this morning and reminded me that my heart problems have nothing to do with my aging) Ha ha! Thanks Dad! I can always count on you for a pep talk!
So for now...we are headed out the door to downtown Naples. We are hitting 5th avenue South for a bit of lunch outside today and maybe a big, fat, chocolate souffle ala mode' to top off the celebration. Then, its a wee bit of "birfday" shopping to help smother the depression of turning the big 3-4. I got my incredibly awesome birthday gift a month early from Brent and the kids this year so not a ton of shopping today. Just enough to call it a "gift to myself" kinda' day. Ya know? My parents gave me their gift last month as well before I ever left for Florida. Mom gave me her gifts when she was here with us a couple of weeks ago. And my mother and father in law gave me their birthday gift on Thursday as soon as they arrived. I'll be posting photos of that one soon. They got me the most kickin' handbag EVAH! I love it! You ladies must see it in case you want to go get one for yourselves. All of you animal print lovers will definitely go into convulsions over it. Such a cool bag! Thanks Deb & Ron!
In the meantime, enjoy your weekend and get outside. Summer is here my friends. This is the time of our lives. It's what we waited all winter long for. xoxoxo, Angie (a.k.a. The "birfday" girl!)
PS...Thank you so much to all of you who are pouring in the birthday wishes to me on facebook today. My cell is dinging like crazy as each one of you leave your birthday messages today. It sure does make this 34 year old girl feel good! :)
This friends...is the third new design from the AGD Spring collection. This one is themed "Shabby Vintage." This happens to be yet another one of my new favs just because of the worn, vintage look of the jeans along with the shabby details within the legs and the dress top. The top can tie in either the back or the front...it's your choice.
The color combo screams spring and summer is 2 degrees past total "to die for-ness!" The summer weather brings tan skin and warm tones. This set helps to make those tones POP! The top would also look FAB paired with your favorite jean shorts or even colored (red or lime green) shorts). There are so many options with this set. In the cooler months, you can pair it with a red or lime green long sleeved layer tee and make the outfit carry her thru fall and winter as well.
Your little princess is sure to be a HUGE hit when wearing this ensemble. It's got that "OOhhhhh...wonder where her Mom got that at?" look to it. You know the look. We've all been there. We've all seen something on another child before and thought..."Oh goodness...I need one of those for my little Sophie. Or Mary Alice. Or Lindsey, etc." Well this time, you'll be instigating the "coveting" on your block. We promise!
I'm not one who normally designs much in the way of the "shabby fabric" lines. You know me...I'm more of a funked out, ripped up, zebra done, fabulicious, out of the box, design type of girl. However, this season has proven to be the season of "shabby" details and I couldn't walk away from the obsession my heart felt when seeing these swatches. Thus, why this and the "roses in bloom" set were born.
This last picture (above) is just for all of our friends and family who know Kenidi so well. They always hear me talk about how much I love her little under bite. You can really see it here in the image above as she was talking. My all time favorite NBA player has always been Reggie Miller from the Indiana Pacers. I miss him in Indiana basketball more than I miss the beach at times. (and that is saying something) Pacer basketball just hasn't been the same since he retired. Either way, Reggie had a major under bite but it was what made Reggie - well Reggie! So...we like to call Kenidi our little "Reggie Miller" in this house. Not only because of the similar under bite but because of her drama as well. Anyone who watched or knew of Reggie, knows that he had some serious drama dishin' when it came to the court. He could fall down and fake or emphasize a deserving foul like no player I've ever seen before. Yeap...miss that - miss his drama-fied antics! So...if you are ever around us Seaman's and hear us refer to Kenidi as our little Reggie Miller...

..now you'll know why. Wink wink! ;)
Click HERE to purchase the new Shabby Vintage Spring/Summer set. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend. Tomorrow is supposed to be HUGE for Indiana. 73 degrees and sunny. Now that is what I'm talkin' about! Seems as though Mother nature has decided to let up on us a bit. Just a bit...
The Salsa Splash Spring/Summer set. Again, sorry for the backdrop on these images. Kenidi was in rare form so I just got the best shots I could get in that moment. This set is available in sizes 2 years thru size 10. We can also do it for the moms in adult sizes as well if interested.
The pictures can do the talking. Should you have questions about the design or the set itself, feel free to email me directly.
PS...Sorry for the delay in getting this up last night as planned. We had an unexpected even take place and it stahled my plans. I have one last new set to list tomorrow. Also, the guitar and heart winged pendants are back in stock. Get them while you can! They all flew out the door within 48 hours last time. xoxoxo, Angie
Happy Thursday ya'll. Just wanted to say that "YES," the Spring/Summer 09' designs are well on their way. Here are some of the new collection. I know how much you guys all love these sneak peeks. HA! I've had some emails recently inquiring about when I'd be releasing the new designs. They were supposed to be already out there for you by now. However, with my health scare and the craziness of the past two weeks...I'm way behind. I had initially planned on taking shots of these here in Indy and listing them ASAP. However, I've decided to hold off and snap the shots of Kenidi in them while at the beach in two weeks. I think the ocean will make a much better back drop for them rather than our dead brown winter grass here in Indiana.
So...please continue to be patient with me. I will get the product shots for them done while in Florida that first week in April. I'll list them right after that. Just in time for Spring and Summer. YAY! All three of these new designs will be featured...I promise!
And yes...even the one shown below too. I know you've already seen its sneak peek but I thought I'd share it again in case you've forgotten about it. It's gonna' go great with a summer tan. :)
For now, I'm off to ship some orders for some dear clients. (mirrors, lip balm, and all) Ha ha! And no...unfortunately...to answer your questions about the AGD lip balm...I can't sell it individually. I've decided to just keep it a special perk for those who purchase from AGD. So sorry! Thanks for all of your interest in it though. You ladies love your lip balm as much as I do. Hee hee! Hugs, Angie
PS...Thought you guys might find it interesting to know that the above/top two sets were inspired off of two outfits I found that I wanted for Kenidi in a photo for a store online. Changed them up a bit and made the design to fit her - to fit us. Our fabrics - our look. It's hard to shop from department stores anymore when I know that it can be "made" at home (a.k.a. with Karen's mad skillz too) :)
UPDATE AS OF 3/18/09 - SOLD OUT! Both the winged cross & winged guitars are now on backorder. I'll let each of you know when more arrive back in stock. (approximately 3 weeks)
OK...can you feel the thunder as I jump up and down with glee over here in Indiana? These new necklaces make me just want to run up and hug a stranger on the street! Big, HUGE, thanks to my dear, sweet, rockin' girlfriend Shan...for the lead. I now have a new supplier that makes these awesome pendants for me. Each one is handmade and is truly one of a kind. No two are alike - they all vary from pendant to pendant. There is a ton of detail in each piece. Very time tedious as I like to call it. I've decided to create three strand pearl necklaces to place them on with a toggle clasp at the back. If these don't scream AGD, I don't know what does.
I've been sporting this winged guitar necklace as well as one of the winged crosses shown below around town. When I say that I can't get 10 feet without someone stopping me about it, I mean it. People on the street are going crazy for these necklaces and I totally understand why.
I've already sold several of these and now only have four remaining...2 crosses and 2 guitars. I plan to place another order very soon for the pendants but if you want one...you'd better jump on them. To say that they are going fast would be an understatement. More like lightening fast!
Don't be fooled by the pictures...these crosses and the guitars are massive. The pendants themselves take up the whole palm of my hand in reference to size. They ROCK with a tank top and jeans. They also go great with a long and funky style peasant dress and jean jacket. There are tons of options and ways to wear this necklace. It carries itself though. No need to get too busy in the wardrobe department with it. The pearls against the edgy, funky, guitar/cross mix romantic with trendy. Sweet with sassy. Shy with wild. I love the variation of the two together. This is a signature design that is sure to become your statement piece. The back sides are done in an artistic fashion as well. Again, no two are alike.
These necklaces are like no other. You aren't going to see these around someone else's neck. Be a trendsetter and ROCK it out with one of these new designs from AGD. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love these. They are one of my new all time fav's. Truly the epitome' of what the AGD name stands for. Different, funky, out of the box, edgy, rock star-ish, eclectic, and bold. I love, love, love em'! To purchase one for yourself, go to AGD's online boutique or my ETSY store. Enjoy!
