Look closely...does anything look odd about this image above?
Focus in on the cloud in the sky. What do you see? We saw a fish! Does it look like a fish to all of you as well? Too funny, eh?
Above is a close up for you. See it now? Tamara noticed this cloud formation when we were on the boat - enjoying our sunset cruise in the back bay of Bonita Springs one week ago last Friday. It was too perfect to NOT take a picture of. If that doesn't look like a fish, I don't know what does. :) And below, you can see where it begin to break apart as the clouds lost their shape.
While on the crusie, we even got to get right up on some adorable dolphin pairs swimming along together in the back bay. They were so incredible. There were actually two here in this photo but the other went under again before I could snap him/her with its buddy.
One afternoon while on the beach, a scenic tour guided helicopter flew over and I was able to catch a glimpse of them with my telephoto lens. Gotta' love that 70-300mm lens. It has a tendency to make you feel like the CIA in a way. You can watch but people have no clue that you can see them that close. I've managed to capture some pretty fun shots from unsuspecting individuals. HA! This shot below was as the helicopter passed by on the beach and everyone watched in a sort of "amazement" as if it were an alien space ship about to land. Me included. Heck, I even took their photo for evidence. hee hee!
I'm ready for some more sunsets like the one below. This shot was also taken while aboard the sunset cruise that Friday evening.
Although it is sunny here today in Indy, it's cold. I'm tired of the cold. Really tired of it, the rain, the snow we finally got rid of last month, etc. We have 11 more days until we get back to this sunset seen above. Next Friday the 29th, the kids will go to school for half the morning. They get out at 10:50am that day. It is their last day of school for the summer. Freedom reigns come the 29th. Mama is a happy girl! So are the kids! They'll come home from an early dismissal day that morning, I'll get them off the bus, then we'll throw our suitcases in the car and head back to the Indianapolis Airport where we will fly out from that afternoon as we head back to FL for the summer. My Dad and Cathy will be joining us for about 4 days during the start of the trip. They'll then fly back home Monday and come join us again at the end of the month of June for a week. I'm feverishly working hard to get all the laundry done here at home, suitcases re-packed, get painters finished up in our home as they check off things on our walk thru list today and tomorrow, travel to dr. appointments, and meet up with friends one last time before heading out for the summer. It's pretty much chaos here right now. The next 11 days are cloudy for me. Very busy - actually beyond busy! I can't even keep track of my to do list because I'm running so fast. Trying to slllloowwwww downnnnnnn...just a bit at least. So much to do and so little time to do it in.
No matter what, I just cannot even begin to express how excited I am to get down there and take pictures all day long - all summer long. I'm beaming with excitement actually. As a photographer in Indiana, the backdrop just isn't the same. Photographers in the South, or NY, or CA, etc. have no idea how good they have it. Their backdrops are amazing and so effortless. Here in Indiana, we have to look and look far and wide to find a good backdrop. In those tropical states or states with nostalgia such as Chicago, IL or New York, they just fall into your lap and jump in front of your feet. To be a photographer full time in one of those areas would be pure pliss. Instead, I'll keep shooting the yellow fire hydrants while a hoosier. HA HA!
Hope you are all enjoying your Monday. I know I am - even though I'm cold with a zip up hoodie on today. Never fear though...I AM WEARING FLIP FLOPS! It's never too cold for flip flops my friends! NEVAH! And how bout' the finale starting tonight on Dancing with the stars? I'm rooting for Melissa all the way. I'd love to see her win that whole thing. And as for American Idol tomorrow night...GO KRIS ALLEN! I'm faithful that you can shock the world and win! :)
So many of you either emailed me directly or left notes here on the blog in the past day asking what my opinion was of THE BACHELOR season finale' with Jason. Of course I had peeked at the "say it ain't so" ending already but had high hopes that it was all just a sick joke. Unfortunately, it wasn't.
Do I believe that abc didn't know that Jason was going to do this? No. I think they planned it for him in order to promote ratings just like we've all heard. Do I believe that Jason and Molly weren't seeing or talking to each other when he was still with Melissa? No way! I think they had been in contact the entire time. Her giggles and smirks on the first 'after the final rose' segment confirmed all that. Their body language, their smiles, and his one slip up at the very end when he said something to the effect that "We are just hoping everyone will realize we are doing what is best for us." That word WE made it sound as though they had talked about this and they were in it together. I believe they were.
Here is my two cents if you want the brutal truth. I think Jason is a train wreck. I think Molly is an even bigger train wreck because she took the guy back after he dumped her on national television and even told her that he thought she was wrong when she said that he and Melissa wouldn't work out. I feel sorry for Jason's son. What a mess he will be part of someday. What a mess he is part of now actually. I feel sorry for Jason's ex-wife. I, like my friend Melissa mentioned on Facebook, think that they should pull his ex-wife on TV & make for some R-E-A-L reality TV material. I'm sure that there are two very big stories to their marriage and the demise of it. We only heard his one side to it all. How convenient! I'm embarrassed for Molly and the way in which she laughed her way thru last nights airing of part 2 of the after the final rose. A wonderful young girl was heartbroken (Melissa) by the way all this was handled and here that side pony tail chick Molly laughed out loud the entire time this was played back on camera. By the way, I must interject here and say that my girlfriend Krissie calls Molly's pony tail a back/side pony which I think is even worse girl. The crooked side/back thing makes it appear as though she formed her pony tail while out at sea when unable to keep her balance. Again, train wreck if I've ever seen one. I'll be real honest, the Christian girl in me left my body for a moment and I just wanted to slap her and him both as they sat and smiled, joked, laughed about it all as it went on.
And also, someone needs to tell Jason that if he is going to proceed to cry every two seconds, that he should at least shed a tear when doing so. I've never seen someone be able to cry so well and not even have one stream of a tear streak down his face while doing it. The boy has skillz! Call his agent. He doesn't need to be on the Bachelor. He needs cast on days of our lives or something. Seriously! As one of my blog readers wrote on my facebook page yesterday, after watching his repeated crying spells...it's possible he might have ovaries.
And lastly...for your enjoyment, I had to post the video of Jason appearing on Jimmy Kimmel the night after that first "after the final rose" segment aired. Pay close attention to around the spot about 9 minutes and 20 seconds in when Jason claims that he thinks he and Melissa will be friends again someday. (need I say it again...? train wreck!) Jimmy Kimmel's reply to that statement makes me fall out of my chair laughing hysterically every time I watch it. Thanks Jill - for posting this on facebook. Love it!
For now, I'm off to run some much needed errands. Enjoy your Wednesday. Hugs, Angie
OHHHHH BOOOYYYYY...next Monday nights "The Bachelor" episode/season finale' is going to be a juicy one filled with nothing but drama fo' yo' Mamma. For those of you who follow the Bachelor/Bachelorette, who are you routing for? Are you hoping for Deanna to come back and whisk him away even though she let him go last season?
Or are you like..."snooze you loose" with Deanna and now wishing for Molly to win his heart? (shown below)
Or...maybe you are like me and pulling for Melissa (in the picture below) to win him over.
What is your prediction? Who will it be? I'm secretly hoping that if he doesn't pick Melissa that he will go a second round with De Anna. I know - I know...I'm a real sucker for fairy tales. I'm just not feeling Molly for some reason. Her and those side pony tails she wears are really causing me some nightmares. ;) In my nightmares, I have visions of reaching up with a machete and chopping the thing off. Scary, eh? I thought so too. Molly said on one of the episodes that she "could" get ready in 5 minutes with a pony tail and lip gloss. Ummmm....yeap, that is apparent. We see that. Definitely see that! I realize that the side pony tails are supposed to be coming back but skinny jeans came back too. However, that doesn't mean we should all run out and buy a pair. I once heard somewhere that you should quit wearing side pony tails once you pass the age of 5. I would have to concur with that opinion.
I can't believe that they are bringing De Anna back to begin with. I'm sure it is a possibility that its just all for their ratings. Guess we'll have to wait and see come next Monday, eh? No matter what, it is going to be interesting. I'd love to hear what all of you are thinking will happen regarding who he is going to pick. Who is your fav?
xoxo, Ang
PS...I apologize for not getting the new spring/summer sneak peek set up tonight. Kenidi's school called and had me come get her early today due to her being sick. I kept her home yesterday with a fever and vomiting. However, by mid-day yesterday she seemed to be feeling good again. Either way, she was home with me today and I didn't get the chance to photograph a sneak peek of the new set. However, good news is...it is supposed to be 50 something degrees and sunny here tomorrow. If she is feeling better, I might try to photograph the whole ensemble tomorrow and get it listed right away rather than tease you with a sneak peek. We'll see how it all goes depending on how she is feeling. Thanks for being so patient. :)
