Awww, Angie, my heart hurts for you. I kinda wondered if you'd get to this point. I had to giggle at you missing snow, though. Oh, I am sooooo tired of it! I hope you can come back soon and get a big dose of familiarity. Seeing your dad and other family up here will make it all better. Take care! Jill
I know how you feel - I lived away from my parents since I was 19 - from Chicago to Houston to Vegas, and then decided it was time to move closer. My parents are both sick and it was time to come home. I have to best parents in the world, although it took me a while to see how blessed I am with them. Just today, my father was in town for an appointment at the VA hospital but made time to bring an enormous amount of wood to my apartment for the cold front coming in. And last week, my mother made a trip just to bring me zuchinni bread for my birthday (it's my favorite!). Having a teenager now, I want her to know and experience the love a big family has to offer. Stay close, call a lot, so glad you have Skype, and send as many cute art projects and such to them (it gives the extras somewhere to go and still be displayed too). I'm glad you are blessed with such a loving family, and they are blessed to have a daughter with such love and appreciation.
God Bless,
JulieAnn Leonard
Oh yes, you are missing the snow. I love being snowed in, looking out at all that fluffy white stuff.
Hope the Skype can get you through until your Dad can get himself to Florida.
Angie, it's good to see it for a day, but then I want it to go away. You can always Skype with your Dad if you want to see it or fly somewhere to go skiing. Otherwise, bite your tongue, girl. You finally got out of that cruddy weather:)
I'd be glad to trade places if you miss it that much!! ;)
Everybody in Indy is snowed in and READY FOR THE COLTS Ang! :) Cheer loud in FL!
It's so cold and nasty here. I would rather be where your at.
For the record...it's not a nice snow. Very slushy and wet...enjoy where you are at!
You sound homesick Angie. I bet everyone will be glad to see you. I think of Dixie and Patti often. I last saw Dixie and Patty at Krissy's showing. They did not stay very long. Just enjoy the weather and keep your sprits ups and we will see you in April. Just go to the beach tomorrow with the kids and think of us.
Don't worry, Angie, just give it a few more months. You will get used to it. That's how I felt when we first moved to HAWAII in 2001. After a couple of months, we were ready to come back to California. It's definitely an adjustment, but you will see, it will start to feel like home soon. Just keep remembering why you moved, and how God opened the door for you guys to move there. It's hard being away from family at first, but it does get easier.
Angie - I know exactly how you feel! My parents are back home in Ohio while I am down here in NC. We just had a southern version of a winter storm and the snow was a very welcome and oddly comforting site but also made me miss home like crazy. I find that I love where I live...a few hours to the beach, but in reality...like you're a Hoosier to ... See Morethe core, I am a Buckeye and there's no place like home! Funny how you hate every second of snow when you're in it day after day after day, but then when you don't have it, you do really miss it. Messed up huh? April will be here before you know it and you'll be giving your Daddy a huge bear hug...hang in there girl!
This made me teary eyed for my own family :) I am sending you a hug :) Hope you had a great weekend!!

P.S your daddy is only a plane ride away :)
Hey Ang,
Right now I'm wishing we had decided to head south....LOL! After snowblowing and shoveling two days in a row (and more snow expected next Mon or Tues), I am way OVER IT! Kids love it though:). The sun is out now so I'm getting blinded by the reflection of the snow but at least the sun is out! Woohoo!!
Getting food ready for the big game tomorrow! Cheer on those Colts!
We miss you!
Hugs,
Jenny
I miss my dad too!
Does Brent's family still live in Indy too?
Do you think you'll ever move back?
I'm glad you have your mom with you to lessen the homesickness. Give her a hug, and take one back!
Here's hoping your daddy can get down to you soon. It must be so hard for him, too.
