NO COSTUME FOR THIS DUDE

This dude says he doesn't want to dress up tonight. He's grown too big for Halloween apparently. I think I was about his age (age 10) when I gave it up too. He looked at me and said..."I'll just help Kenidi trick or treat for her candy." I'm sure he'll be helping her eat it too. Ha ha! That is quite alright with me though. The less candy in this house the better. :) They just had their shiny white teeth cleaned at the dentist on Thursday and the thought of them sugar coating those pearly whites over the weekend makes me physically ill. A kid needs to be a "kid" though.

Thanks to all of you who have emailed or written me in the past week asking if I'm OK. I guess my lack of blog posts lead you to think something could be wrong. Nope...I'm just extremely busy right now. Our family schedule is only going to get even more hectic in the next three weeks. I'll explain more on that later. I'm also in the middle of a 6 week course for photoshop training and that takes time each day as I must complete classes/lessons and submit assignments every day over the next 6 weeks as well. Fun stuff! So...just bare with me. I'm still here and still blogging but the past few days have been hectic as far as my to do list goes and previous engagements go.

I hope each of you have a great night of goblins and ghosts with your little ones this evening and that all of you stay warm while doing so. It's only supposed to be a high of 50 degrees here in Indiana today so I'm assuming tonight will be really chilly. For that reason, I doubt we stay outside too overly long. If the weather temp is under 65 degrees, I'm a real weenie! A big baby is more like it. In my past life I am thinking that I was birthed in the sand, in the Sahara desert maybe. It's the only explanation I can come up with regarding my dislike with cold weather/cool weather. So look for me to be layered up in multiple layers tonight and my kids as well. Yes, we'll look like Bob Gregory's long lost relatives. No doubt! (Sorry...only you long time Hoosiers will get that private joke)

PS...Have your little ones click HERE for some Halloween fun! Happy haunts...Angie

Angie, my son turned 13 in September, and let me tell you, they only grow up even quicker now! It's amazing how you can be so proud yet so sad at the same time. LOL! It is insane to think that I have a child that will be able to drive in less than 3 years...CRAZY! Anyway, hope you find some time to rest and refresh during this busy time...Blessings! Happy Fall!

My son isn't dressing up this year either - last year he was DISCRIMINATED based on his age! He noticed a sharp decline in candy compared to previous years. He isn't allowed to be too upset - he doesn't even eat it.

We're STILL having near record temps in SoFla. We have learned by now to choose things like fairy costumes with spaghetti straps.

I'm SO jealous about the Photoshop classes...one day!

My handsome grandson-too big to Trick or Treat? I think not! Brennen, that's why you are supposed to dress up, so know one knows you are still out there getting goodies! ha ha. Angie, you weren't born in the desert, but I did lay in the sun, and I also fell asleep under a sunlamp for two hours when I was pregnant with you. That may have something to do with your need for the heat! I hope you all have a great Halloween!XOXOXOX

Happy Halloween Angie! My son pulled the "I am not dressing up" on me last year (9), but this year he was a baseball player. . . it worked.

I am still listening to the play list! Damien Rice Crimes. . . I have never heard it before. I LOVE IT. . . what does it mean to you. I went to YOU TUBE and read a few of the comments. Just curious. . .

Hi Tonia. The song 9 crimes by Damien Rice is a beautiful song in such a "painful" way. I first heard it on Grey's anatomy and went searching for it. It has a twisted description in my opinion regarding the actual meaning to the song. However, lets just say that I've experienced pain myself in the way that the artists sing about. More then once. What he sings about is a crime. A crime not only to the one he is involved with but a crime to everyone around them. The pain he is inflicting on his partner because of his weakness to temptation is what struck a cord with me. The song brought me to immediate tears the first time I ever listened to it all the way thru. It takes your breath away - especially if you've ever been on the receiving end of a blow like the one he is describing. I thank God everyday for children who keep me strong and for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Otherwise, painful moments in life such as the one being described in that song would be a lot more tough to stomach. Ya know?

Sorry to be somewhat vague regarding what it means to me. However, I'm sure you get my point. Been there, got that t-shirt - a few of them actually. Sad to say but I've got quite the wardrobe. :(

Hugs,
Angie
