FEELING THE NEED TO GIVE

The Indiana doom and gloom is killin' me! I just can't take it anymore. So...when trying to pep myself up today and in my attempts to not fall victim to this depressing weather, I knew that I had to find something fun to do. Beings that I can't get outdoors and shoot because of the weather, I still had "photography" on the brain. If I can't have fun shooting with a camera, then maybe...just maybe I can have fun "giving away" a camera. :) Yeah, that's it!!! Let's give away a camera on behalf of Angie Seaman Photography.

Here we go...

Fuji has introduced an awesome new toy called the Fuji Instax Instant camera. I love it. Love, love, love it!!! It's a playback to the old Polaroid cameras just with an all new sleek and modern look.

The images are instant and come out of the camera in the size of credit card sized photos. LOVE THAT! The prints come out on Bold Fuji film but still contain that old vintage look of a Polaroid image. Can someone say...."L-O-V-E vintage?" The camera itself is equipped with four exposure settings which was unheard of back in the day of Polaroids. Also included is a built in flash and a sweeping wide angle lens. AWWWEEEESSSSOOOMMMME!!!

The camera runs on 4 simple little double AA batteries. No USB cord, no computers, no memory cards, etc. involved. It's just you, the camera, your instant film (which houses 20 exposures per box), and good ol' fashioned fun!

This little trendy fashionista of a camera would make for a great Christmas gift for any loved one on your list. It would be a ROCKIN' birthday gift for your bestie. Or...it would be an incredible impromptu gift for the loved one in your life who is obsessed with photography, cameras, etc. like muah! You can't go wrong with this little dude. It's all the rage and I can't spread the word about it fast enough. The value of the camera and the film being given away is $105. So...won't you help me in forgetting about the Indiana doom and gloom weather - and instead help me to spread the word about the Angie Seaman Photography give-a-way starting now.

For your chance to win this camera and a roll of coordinating film, leave your name and why you want this camera below in the comment section. Let me know why you are the best candidate to win this camera and what you plan to use it for. I'll close off the comment section in a couple of days. Until then, get to entering. Oh yeah...and for every person who puts a write up on their blog about this give-a-way (directing them back here to the AGD blog to enter), you will get 5 extra names in the hat. That means 5 more chances then someone else to win. Please note: you don't have to have a blog to enter. Have fun with it and thanks in advance for helping me spread the word about this kickin' little camera. I feel better already! :)

Much love, Angie
PS...No, I'm not getting paid for this plug. I just love a good product when I see one. :) You guys always say you love hearing about my "favorite finds." Well, this is one of my all time favs as of late. Side note: All photos in this post are from the awesome photojojo website. Go pay them a visit if you'd like to order the fuji instax camera ASAP.

Hummm why do I want this camera and what would I use it for.
I love photography and so does my 8 year old. She wants to use my camera all the time but I am forever forgetting to make prints for her. This would be a perfect solution :) I'd love to share my love of photography with my daughter.

WOW!!!!!!!! Angie this is GREAT!!!!! I love it! The little camera I have had a long time by HP quit working on Fan Day back in April. I loved it, I have a Samsung that works fine outside, but inside the pictures are red/dark :( I MISS my camera sooooo much! I was telling Brandon the other night, we have so much coming up with Halloween, Bailee's middle school pageant, Thanksgiving, Christmas. I would love a nice camera for these things! This would be great for Bailee to take some pictures with when she has her surgery in November and is in casts for a while. We would LOVE it at our house!!!! :) You are so sweet to do a giveaway, you truly are! Love you!!!!!

This would be the perfect camera for my six-year-old superhero, who has recently shown an interest in photography. He has a FisherPrice digital camera, but this one would rock. Because you know, six-year-olds are all about some instant gratification. Click and poof! There's your print! :)

Thanks for the giveaway!

The reason I would love this camera is because I don't have one...except if you consider the one on my phone a camera...but then I can't print them as most programs don't support the file format.
I have always enjoyed your photography and you have given me a sense of wanting to take pictures myself and have begged my husband for a camera...so this one would make do in the interim...if I get one for Christmas!

Wonderful. I have been waiting for them to redo the Polaroid camera. My daughter has terrible separation issues- from close people in her life- adopted as a baby and has terrible times with goodbye to grammy and papa and aunts etc. I can't print out photos fast enough for her. And sometimes she grieves terribly. I found an old one and then had trouble with film. Thank you for your post. Always love seeing what you are working on next! Always inspiring for me.
Hugs,
Kerry

Why do I want this camera? Well, my 8 year old son loves to take pictures and he does really well. He uses my slr camera a lot and I am always scared that he is going to drop it. He needs his own camera but with me not working I cant afford one for him. It would be a great xmas present for him.

How cool is this? I did not even know this existed! I have needed an "instant" camera for my work...I make therapy folders for my students. I use photos of them actually doing different phases of therapy. I print the photos, laminate them, then use velcro to let them manipulate where they are in therapy. It is sort of an interactive time line. They can see where they are, what they have done, what is next, etc. The difficulty is that I have more students this year that need one-to-one therapy and not enough time/resources to get the folders completed. A camera like this would be great! Than ks for doing something so fun!

Wow, Angie! This camera looks like so much fun! If I could win this, I would most likely use it with my 5 children who all love posing for the camera and all love taking pictures themselves. It would be so much fun for their birthday parties, too. To be able to take pics and give them to the guests right then...how fun! Plus, it just looks super cool!!

I would L-O-V-E this camera to capture my sweet girl's baby blues! This camera would also come in SUPER handy in my classroom to help my kids through picture prompting systems for things like vocational skills and self-help skills. It would be really great to be able to put these together so fast (and I hear that my new school doesn't have quite the resources as my old school in terms of printing, etc.)!

Wow...cute camera! It makes me feel like I can't compete with a couple of those comments above, but would love to win this camera. I take lots of pictures everywhere I go and all my friends and family know they can count on me for pics. Needless to say I have a very active account at Wal-greens! I love the instant gratification aspect and would love to give the photos away immediately!
Hope to win! Thanks for the chance!

How exciting! I LOVE give-a-ways :) If I won this camera I would give it to my grandma. So this would be the perfect gift to her so that that she could take the pictures when she wanted them and wouldn't have to wait on us to "forget" to print them out for her!!!

What an awesome BlEsSiNg you are & I would love to pass the blessing on to my older brother Barrett. My 36 year old brother is a brain cancer survivor. He has endured 4 brain surgeries over the last 10+ years & I couldn't be more proud of his drive to get up each day & face the world fighting. He has lost movement in his left arm & partially in his left leg. He lives alone but assures us he's not lonely. He plasters his apartment with pictures of his niece & nephews & gets so excited when a new picture arrives. He cannot afford a computer to get pictures or internet to see pictures. He can't drive so he has to rely on a family member scheduling time to go to the store. He would be so amazed to be able to take pictures & see them/get them instantly! Plus how cool is that camera anyway!?!

I was wondering if the polaroid would ever come back!!! Now it's better than ever!

Thanks for the giveaway, ANgie!~

Now, the reason I would love it is because I love taking pictures of my family, and just the simple things we do as a family. There's always a story you can tell just by one photo, and I think it would be great for my older kids to use as well.

That is awesome! I have 2 4 month old girls and I would love to have a camera that is easier than the one we are using now. I have to order prints and wait for them to come (which I am not very good at yet). Also it would be easier to give to the Grandmas. Thanks
PS It is rainy here in Texas and I don't think we have seen the sun is a week!

Oh my goodness! I've not seen the likes of this camera before! But I know I have you to rely on to keep me on the up and up in the photography world!!

Putting my own photo obsession aside, I would LOVE to give this as a birthday (Nov) or Christmas gift to my son. Connor (my special kiddo that I've mentioned to you before) has really become interested in photography. He's always asking me questions about the different parts of the camera, etc. I've gone to use my DSLR only to find pics of Lightening McQueen and Thomas the Train on my SD card. Apparently, Connor has mastered taking pics with my d90. Ahem. He's been given a "kids proof" camera before and wasn't exactly impressed with the picture taking ability. I think he would LOVE to see evidence of his artwork immediately!!!

Thanks for the chance at such a GREAT give away!! YOU ROCK!!

Ang, you sure are going to have a lot of comments for this blog. What a cute little camera. I love the throw back to the "instant" photos. The pictures in my camera are like those in the digital camera commercial where everyone in the "undeveloped" photos is saying...get me out of here". Now, why would I want the camera. I would be giving it as a gift for a special little boy that LOVES to take my camera away and take his own pictures. What would be better than seeing the world than through the eyes...lens of a child. If I win I'll have him post his "views" on your blog. LYFA

Wow! I would love to win this camera! Since my son Ryan was born (almost 4 years ago), I have taken up photography as a hobby. Earlier this year, I bought myself a Canon Rebel XSI and I love it! I try and take pictures of my two kids (16 months and almost 4) several times a week, and post to my blog for my friends and family to follow. My pictures have improved SO much from learning more and reading blogs like yours!

I would love to add this instant camera to my camera bag, and take along for fun shots of the kids, and as I volunteer for parties at their preschool, for the instant pictures!

I added a post to my blog about the giveaway -- http://bledsoefamily.typepad.com/bledsoe_family_adventures/2009/10/photography-blog-link-and-a-contest.html -- thanks for the chance to win!

Ooh! I would LOVE this camera!! I would totally love to win this camera!! I am planning a trip in November to a poor area in Mexico to bring food and Christmas supplies to some very needy but awesome families. If I won the camera, I would totally take it with me (plus I would bring tons a film with me) to take pictures of the families and individual pictures of the kids. I've visited these families before and they have NO pictures of themselves... no family shots, no pics of the kids and babies. I can't imagine no pictures of my kids! I would LOVE to be able to serve them in this way by handing them instant pictures of themselves. I can guarantee you it would be their first pictures and they would cherish them! Their smiles would shine brighter than SUNSHINE!!!

What an AWESOME camera! So COOL!

Wow-why would I be a good candidate for this camera:

1. Because I don't own a camera! OK - besides the camera in my cell phone!
2. Because I had about 10+ rolls of film, never developed - that I LOST in one of the last 5 times I have moved in the last 5 years. I need to be taking pictures of my kids to cature this age (11 & 7) since I lost the film from 2002 - 2007!
3. Because my husband lost my son's digital camera last year - and financially-we have not been able to replace it! This would be an AWESOME replace gift that he could share with ME!
4. Because I would love to capture family memories!!! :0)

Thanks for allowing me to enter!

Good Luck to ALL!

Are you KIDDING me?!? I've been drooling over this camera (and/or other polaroid cameras) for months now! In fact, I JUST posted a link to this exact camera on my facebook and twitter as a "dear Santa"! I would LOOOOOVE to have this camera! I am all about finding beauty in the every day mundane, and these things (and camera phones, and iphone apps like shake it camera and polarize) make it all so much more FUN! Let's seee, have I said how much I would LOVE THIS CAMERA yet? Cause yes. I would ;-) Hehe! I also am a photographer and would love to bring it along with me on photoshoots and take photos of my clients and let them go home with an instant photo from their session (but first taking a photo with the instant picture featured ;-))

What a cute camera--and who can resist immediate gratification? We took old Poloroid cameras with us on a mission trip to Guatemala (along with the last existing film we could find). The remote village people have never had a picture taken before--much less one they could keep!
I can't compete with some of the responses I've read--especially the teachers that would use them for thier classrooms and students.
I'd probably have to donate it to the next mission group that goes to Guatemala!

PS. I am looking for a new point and shoot camera for bloggin purposes and hope you can give me advice on a good one.

Angie what a cool idea. I have not heard about this little camera yet. I would love it! I just lost my sweet Grandma last week and I was in charge of gathering all of the pictures to use for her video etc... ( I am the picture person in our family) and I brought home several boxes of photos to scour through. Many were the old fashioned (hard paper back) polaroids. I used to love being at family gatherings and having my uncle haul out the polaroid to take pictures. I loved waiting for the picture to develop, I even loved the noise that the camera made while ejecting the photo. It brings back such sweet memories. Even though many of my dear loved ones have passed away, those pictures have stood the test of time. This is a super cool new spin on an old classic, right up my alley!

This camera is the coolest! I saw this on photojojo the same day I saw your post!
The reason I would love to win this is because Photography is my biggest outlet...my release when I am stressed. I had to save up for so long to get my canon rebel xsi last year and have loved learning about it...however a couple weeks ago, it stopped working and I do not have the money to fix it and am absolutely heartbroken. I have a two year old and no backup camera...my dslr was my second baby. We just don't have any extra money so this camera would be GREAT to have on hand! Thanks for the awesome opportunity Angie!! :)

Oh my word! I was just looking at this camera to assist in my boyfriend's sister's wedding. She recently asked about having a sign-in table at her wedding where guests could write a little message in a scrapbook and have a picture of them taken at the wedding to include with the scrapbook message. This camera would be perfect for this!!

OMG! I have never heard of this camera until now! This is completely awesome!
We are currently having issues with our outdated computer not being able to handle all of the picture downloading we are doing and thus, we are unable to upload photos to our blog and Facebook accounts. Seriously, it has gotten so bad that I do not post pictures anymore because it takes too long and I get too frustrated.
This camera would be so great to get the picture instantly, scan the picture in and upload so our family, who all live out of state (we are in Texas and they live in Indiana), can watch my two beautiful little girls (ages 3 and 11 months today) grow up and feel like they are just as involved if they were living down the street from us :) Plus, I would get the added benefit of having the picture right away so I can put it in a picture frame and display it. Currently, I load up both girls, trek down to Wal-Mart,pay to print pictures off of my USB thingy-mabob, and send them to family. Such a hassle!
Thanks for giving this camera away because whoever wins, will truly love it.

What a great camera, I'd never heard of it until today! How fun.

I'd love to get this for my 18 year old daughter. With a family of 9 I didn't have a lot to give her for her birthday last weekend, but some makeup. Luckily I have amazing friend who sent her some fun gifts.

This would be so much fun for her and her friends when they head off to college next year.

I'd wrap it up in pretty paper and a great bow, proudly put it under tree for her!

What an awesome camera! Love the look! Love the size of photos it puts out! This would be so fun to have for our grandsons(5 of them) to use when they visit. They love to go into my art studio and "play". With this they could take their own photos and make their own great photo albums to take home from Grandma and Papa's! What fun and memories we could all create!

I am a huge fan of using cameras with film. To me, that just take better pictures than the digital cameras.
If I were to win this camera, I would continue taking pictures of my family, especially the little ones, and lots of landscapes.

Hi Angie! Wow, what an incredible giveaway you are hosting! If I were to be chosen to win this sweet lil' snapshot-er I would hand it on down to my 10 year old daughter who is always begging to use my dslr to take photos. She's got the 'photography' bug just like her mama and everyone loves the instantly printed pictures. Perfect for the beginner photographer, don'tcha think?
