GOING, GOING, GONE...
I teared up a bit today thinking about the last time we were all in the pool together last summer. I teared up thinking about how last week was the last time I'd ever be in that house again. I teared up thinking about last summer was the last time I'd ever laugh and try to shoot hoops with Brennen in the drive again. I teared up thinking about how we'd probably never get the chance to meet another neighbor like our "smiley face in the yard" neighbor. You remember Wayne? Yeah...the one who mowed a smiley face in our front yard when we were away on vacation just to get Brent's goat because he treasured the grass so much. See the smiley face in the picture below...? Classic. We laughed until our sides ached when we rolled up at home that night from the airport. I never even noticed it but Brent saw it IMMEDIATELY - in the dark mind you.
That's OK...we got them (the neighbors) back by doing a chalk outline of a dead body on their drive way and wrapping their house with yellow caution tape a short while later. Good times~Good times! We'll miss everyone on that street. Our street was really the only street in the neighborhood that had kids all the same age. Young kids anyway. Brennen loved his little neighbor pals and still does.
In the end though...we established that change is GREAT. Not just 'good' anymore but GREAT! The decision to move to the North side of Indy turned out to be one of the best decisions we've ever made in our lives. We are overly happy up here. The schools are incredible. The neighborhoods are fantastic. The ambiance isn't even comparable. The restaurant choices and shopping are out of this world. All in all, it's just a great place to raise a family and we are so glad we made the decision we did. Looking back, as scared as I was to move, I realize once again in life that God had it all planned out. It worked out perfectly - just as he planned it to.
We pray the new homeowners will love our old house. We sure did!

I know it's bittersweet isn't it?
We have our house on the market; the market in Mid Florida is not promising and quite gloomy; we have ours priced really low...we can't afford to sit on it any longer. Pray ours sells too; I am ready for our plan!
Congratulations! I have to say I like your new place much better, even though you don't have a pool, but this was beautiful when you were there.
That's great that your house sold. That's my only fear is having two mortage payments if we every decided to sale and move. Congrts again.
Now I wish mine would sell!! It's been for sale since April, but here anything in the $200s and down seems to be flying, but anything higher is taking a lot longer. So if anybody wants to move to the home of the Masters golf tournament check out

Ha! And it does rent out for Masters week! I will be sad when we sell ours since we've had some fun times here, but I miss our little 1600 sq.ft. starter for the same reason. No matter where we live, we've always been super happy which I imagine it is the same for you also. Congrats on your sale and your fabulous new digs

Congrats ....
It's always bitter sweet I know the feeling we currently have 2 1/2houses here.I say 1/2 cause we have a family house combined both families in the Hamptons .Thank god one is completely paid off but then we have the second one with the hefty mortgage...I feel bad to sell the first one cause it was our "first" everything ...Besides I have my cousins living in there now I can't just tell them to "Get Out"...Either way both of your houses were and are Beautiful...You guys make the right decision ....It was a wake up call with Kenidi's school and all.You will have more and better memories in your new home ...I am sure of it ...Besides everything has been going the right way so far...Let me bite my tongue and not jinx anything ....
Oh btw did you post your new prayer blog on facebook ?
Nicky

We have a showing today. Now that yours has sold, we can get MINE sold!
I guess I'm not the only person out there that gets attached to houses. :-) That was a beautiful house. Love what your neighbor did with the smiley face! That's great! Even funnier is what you did back. I SOOOOO need to do that to someone. Hmmmmmm.
