We have been eating "clean" since October. I can't tell you how better my body feels! We buy all of our groceries from Whole Foods, with the exception of eggs (we have our own little hens). As me and Mike take on this journey of building a chicken farm to sell organic eggs we have taken classes on how to raise them and have watched serveral movies on locally owned farms. We watched the movie Fresh, it turned our life around! That movie will make you want to buy from local farmers and not govt owned farmed. The things they do to those animals will make your skin crawl. Ok, I know you wanted fish recipes and slap out of those :) We don't eat alot of fish. I'll quit talking, but really you should start buying your food from local farmers if you really want clean food. Your body will thank you :)
Have a great weekend chicky!!

Please share any good clean recipes. That's the way we all should be eating the majority of the time. I would love to get some easy recipes!
Hey Angie!
Hope all is well in Florida! Still snowy and MISERABLE here in Carmel...ugh.
Been enjoying your blog and pics from florida..you look like you're doing great.
REally great recipe that I kind made up few summers ago when we lived in MI and I got some fresh white fish. I substitued with Tilapia later.
No specific amounts just directions (this is how I roll) and no official name..just grilled Tilapia
Tilapia
Yellow Squash
Zuchinni
sweet onion and or red pepper.
shredded parmesan cheese
olive oil
grill spices
Ok,
Get some heavy duty foil (good sized piece) and spray w/ Pam.
Lay good sized portion of Tilapia on it and sprinkle little olive oil on fish (you can also use butter but sounds like you're trying to work into those skinny jeans!) and a little grill seasoning. You can use seasoning salt, etc. I use a grill seasoning for fish from McCormick
smother fish with sliced zuchinni, yellow squash and juliened red pepper and or sweet onion. Drizzle lightly again with olive oil and add a touch more seasoning. Then sprinkle on light amount of parmesan cheese depending on how "good" you're being. Then wrap foil in a tent on top...bring foil up and leave lots of air between the top of the fish and the foil...then put on a grill at medium indirect heat and let fish and veggies cook...there is something about tenting the fish like that that makes all the seasonings and veggies cook into one another..infuses the flavor...
open the packets and when the fish is opaque and flakes it's done.
REALLY GOOD FOR YOU!!!
ENJOY!

Hey, Angie~~~
Hope you do receive some great recipes for Tilapia.
If you can share what you try out that would be great!
Also, don't really understand what "eating clean" is!!! Guess I need to google it, huh?
Hope Florida is treating you well!
Hugs, my friend~~~~Helen
Hey Ang!
When I was going through the HCG I would cook Tilapia on my George Foreman. As crazy as it sounds, I would season it with Ms. Dash Chicken seasoning. It was just enough flavor. And it only needs to cook for about 2 minutes! I realized VERY quickly that the secret in cooking fish is simply not cooking it too long. Over cooked fish is dry.
Another place to find GREAT recipes is the Cooking Light website. Cooking Light is HIGHLY recommended by doctors and I've started cooking from there quite frequently. Go to cookinglight.com and you can search for Tilapia recipes. I promise you won't be disappointed!!
Hey girl one of my favorite ways to make tilapia is very quick & easy. You can also do this with flounder, shrimp or scallops. You have to buy the steamer bags by ziploc, put the tilapia in the bag along with some Ginger salad dressing (the salad dressings that are sold in the produce area I usually use the brands Naturally Fresh or Makimoto) put about 2 tbsp per filet in the steamer bag and cook in the microwave according to the directions on the bag. You can serve over fresh steamed veggies, rice (brown or white) or couscous. Hope you like it! :D
Okay, gotta know 'cause I'm right there with you...please share, and then I can know we have a kindredness. How much to lose by May and why May?
I wore my skinny jeans yesterday to church, and I couldn't wait to get them off when I got home. OUCH!!!! I can't even get myself to get on the scale...
