BAILEE'S SPECIAL DAY

Guess who got 2nd runner up in her Valentine's Day pageant this weekend? Yeap, Miss Bailee Bryant herself. I know many of you have been eagerly waiting to hear how the pageant went since Saturday. Bailee's Mom, Rhonda, forwarded these pictures on to me last night so I wanted to share them with all of you here. Also, I realize that many of you are new blog readers and might not know how much Bailee means to all of us or how we come to know Bailee Bryant from Alabama. If you haven't been a blog reader for at least a year or more, you might not know Bailee's story. Therefore, to quickly brief yourself on who she is and why she is so dear to my heart and many others, go HERE. And in October of last year, my die hard blog readers and fellow friends pulled together and did a massive shoe and sock drive for Bailee due to the wear and tear her CP diagnosis has on her shoes. The AGD blog readers came out in the masses and we raised over $1200 for Bailee. So...to say that she has been an inspiration to all of us would be the understatement of the year.
You can read the email from her Mom that she sent me last night. I've copied it below.

(I personally think this image above needs to be made into an inspirational poster confirming that all things all possible in life - especially with Christ by your side)
Here is the email from Bailee's Mom, Rhonda...

Hi Angie. Bailee got 2nd runner up and prettiest smile! She did so good and her confidence is like nothing I have ever seen before. She did get some not so nice looks from some of the other little girls, but Bailee just kept on smiling. I admire her so much. I could never be as strong as she is. Bailee was so excited, and boy did her smile show it! We know prayers went up for her on this day and we really want to thank you Angie!!! We love you more than you know!!! Please let all of your AWESOME AGD readers know how much their comments meant to us! They had me in tears as I just kept going back to read them. Thank you so much for all of the encouragement you bring to Bailee!!!!! Bailee knew yesterday that Mrs. Angie and all of her AGD friends were praying for her and that made the day perfect!
WE LOVE YOU MRS. ANGIE!!!! Have a great day!

Rhonda

Congratulations Bailee. We are so very proud of you sweetheart. I'm most proud of your title that you won for "PRETTIEST SMILE!" I truly believe that as people, we can change the world with a smile and you are definitely doing your part in that process. As I've told you before, it is your smile that inspires me. It is your vibrance that encourages me in regards to Kenidi and her special needs. As a Mother, there is nothing more gratifying than to see and know someone with similar struggles as my own child, make it thru life in the exciting way that you have thus far. Thank you for always being my reminder that there is HOPE for Kenidi. Thank you for being the exception to the rule and standing out. There is an old famous quote that I love by Coco Chanel that reads..."In order to be irreplaceable, one must be different!"

And you Bailee...my dear, sweet, friend...are truly irreplaceable in this life. You have made footsteps for the rest of us to follow in. So rejoice and be different! And as you go thru life and receive some possible not so friendly looks, remind others with your actions, your character, and your integrity that in order to be irreplaceable...one must be different. Then, ROCK that difference sweet girl!

Oh and one other thing. As you already know...I love Audrey Hepburn. In fact, we are painting little Miss Kenidi's room today. Once the paint dries, I have a famous quote from Audrey Hepburn that is going on her wall in there. That quote reads:

"A girl should be two things. Classy and Fabulous!" And you are both Bailee! Classy and Fabulous! Congrats again. You made our day!

xoxoxo, Angie

YAY, BAILEE!!! I was so proud looking at those pictures. Bailee, you looked perfect head to toe! Beautiful hair, eyes, smile, and I loved your dress! Most of all, your INNER beauty shines the brightest!
You got some not so nice looks from some girls? OH WELL! Miss Angie has gotten a few not so nice looks from girls over the years, too, I bet! I know I have! Some girls bring light into the world by smiling their BEAUTIFUL smile like you and some well..........they just spread cranky face. ;-)

My 4 year old son Brendon has CP and I am so encouraged and inspired by you. He loves to look at the pretty girl on the computer.....you should see this 4 year old "ladies man" try to kiss the computer screen! haha

Take care,
Melissa

Tears Tears! So So BEAUTIFUL! I could not keep from crying while reading this blog and all the nice posts. There is a guy here at the IU Simon Cancer Center that has CP. When Angie was doing the shoe drive, I told him he should invent some shoes for people with CP. He said he would work on it. He has been a volunteer here for like 28 years. When I showed him your beautiful pictures, he just couldn't believe how beautiful you are, and neither could I!!! You Rocked that place girl. So proud of you! Congratulations!
