THIS WOULD BE...

Rumor had it that the FLYING CUPCAKE had some "peanut butter explosion" cupcakes in their inventory yesterday. After a quick road trip yesterday evening, that rumor proved to be true. This would be the cupcake I scarfed down like a big pig today after lunch.

My mailbox harbored fun finds again this week. Inside it Saturday, I found this lotion (shown above) from one of my sweet, sweet, rockin' blog readers. Her name is Robin Russell and she's from North Carolina. Robin and I have communicated back and forth over the years now and I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her and her kiddo's via photographs and emails. Girl...your surprise made my day. I'm constantly smelling my hands now in an effort to propel myself to the beach with each & every sniff. Remember the old episode of Saturday night live where they were placing their fingers in their armpits and then smelling them? Well, I soooo look like them as I run around smelling my fingers all day long. HA! This would be my temporary fix over the next 17 days until we arrive in South Florida for Christmas vacation. Robin's notes to me regarding this wonderful impromptu gift contained these words...

I found something that just screams you. :) I just had to get it. You are always brightening the days of so many of us, so it's my turn. Thanks for always inspiring us and standing up for us Christians. I figured when you missed the ocean, you could smell the lotion. Thanks to you for always being a positive role model to so many. God bless, Robin

Robin...I wish I could hug you. Thanks sista' - thank you so very much! I'm head over heels in love with this lotion. And...it is sooooooo ME! I'll definitely be ordering more of this as I run out. All of you should too. The website address is http://www.littleherbhouse.com/.

And - this would be our local little newspaper that we found Kenidi and her life skills class gracing the pages of last week. Yeap...that is our little "K-licious" up above in the far right hand bottom corner of that article. She is diggin' into some good ol' fashioned pumpkin pie that they made in her class. The local paper was there to document the event. How fun! I sent Brennen into a local business and had him raid the remaining issues that they had left on the news stand. I think we have 6 copies now. Too funny!

The above and below images are the Seaman families way of having a blast in the snow. This would be a couple of snow crayons, a couple of snowball makers, a snow science/test tube experiment kit, and below...this would be a snowman kit to make with someone you love. We dig this snowman kit out every year and the kids love it. The things in the picture above are just a few fun goodies I found for Brennen and Kenidi while out Christmas shopping yesterday. Up near our new home is an awesome Toy Store. I love the store and the staff within it. They all R-A-W-K! The best part...they wrapped all of my gifts for me that I purchased there. Yes, I came home with gifts already wrapped. So easy! That saves me a ton of time. This store is quaint and has the best toys in it - toys that aren't your everyday run of the mill items. I found both kids some great Christmas gifts in there yesterday. I also was able to mark off my nieces and nephew while in there. Their gifts were found and wrapped yesterday too. Oh joy! The snow items were given to the kids last night though. Brennen put the snowball maker to good use already. We plan to break out the other items tomorrow when the kids are home from school early. They get out at 10:50am so it will be a day full of fun in the snow once they are home. Can't wait to break "Razzi" out for that!

It has been a great day with lots of sponging. By sponging I mean all the soaking in I did following my photography class this morning. My photo coach and I talked lighting today. Night time lighting, portrait lighting, studio lighting, beach shots, snow shots, exposure compensation, and so on. I was a note taking fool this morning during my two hour class. As I sit here now, killing time before Brennen's basketball practice tonight, I'm reviewing those notes one more time. My notes are golden to me. My lifeline when away from the expert. (the photo coach) Tomorrow night I start my photoshop classes. I'll be welcoming another expert into my home for two hours a week in an effort to embark on another part to this journey. Oh goodness...I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. The next 24 hours are going to take 4-EVAH.

Until then, hugs...Angie

MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm This girl loves peanut butter and all things peanut butter. It's a bad addiction.

I didn't realize you were doing South Carolina for your vacation! Our favorite places are Pawley's Island. (if you go there, try to find Sallie's Galley if it's still there~ we love her and her lemon icebox pie) When we dogged Myrtle Beach (too changed and commercial for us...) and Sallie told us (in your best Southern Accent) She said, "Oh honey...down here in Pawley's Island...we don't wont none o that ticky tack!" ha

We also love going to Middleton Place in Charleston. Amazing food, neat historic plantation, incredible flowers/gardens, horses, activites, and a killer modern hotel in the middle of the woods that looks like it doesn't belong!

Hope you have a great time!

That cupcake has my mouth watering!!! I was about to head to the gym to do cardio...no fair!!!

Did you happen to stop by Kirkland's and find those items?

I love the pictures of Kenidi! So cute..

Do you think I could find private Photoshop lessons here? It sounds silly but I just need someone to teach me how to use it for the photos for our store. I have no idea how to use it to resize, add text and what not. I'd really love to learn.

Blessings to you!

Hey girlie. I'm guessing you are smokin' crack and just can't read tonight. It's South FLORIDA we are headed to. Not South Carolina. HA HA! Good to get all of your pointers on South Carolina either way though. I have a customer/friend wanting me to travel to South Carolina in late June to do their family pictures in Hilton Head.

I thought I'd email and razz you for the fun of it. Hee hee! Love ya sista'!

And Rachel - check around regarding the photoshop stuff. I bought the program and then stumbled upon this guy at the store accidentally. He mentioned in common conversation that he taught private classes for photoshop so I jumped on it. I figure the software program cost as much as my first car basically did so I'd better learn to use it and use it well. Ha ha!

Hugs, Angie

Oh LAWD! I'm famous now. Thanks for the shout out! I'm glad you like the lotion. You should see the place where I got it. She has all these herb gardens everywhere. It's unbelievable. The gift shop is amazing. Now, if you could kindly send some snow my way I'd greatly appreciate it!!! We never see snow anymore. We are praying for a huge snowfall this winter!! Have fun. Robin

Oh, MAN!!! YER KILLIN' me with that cupcake! I headed up to North Central HS to hear The Messiah by some of their choirs, and I thought of the Flying Cupcake as I was going through Broad Ripple. I was wishing I had enough time to go check out that "evil" place!!! HAHAHA Oh well. I guess I should just be thankful for hearing a lovely concert by some awesome kids. sigh

Thanks for sharing the Little Herb House product! Looks like a tasty treat for the hands!!! Even though I am exactly 177 miles from the Kill Devil Hills, NC (Outer Banks) and know on any given Sunday I can hop in my car for a quick fix, my heart still aches for some sand and surf! Thankfully, we'll be heading east to the Outer Banks the entire week of New Years - so my fix will come soon. I live in the Raleigh area, so I will be making a visit to the Little Herb House. YAY! Exciting! Right now, I am hooked on Bath & Body Works Coconut Body Butter. It screams summer time at the beach, not to mention makes your skin super soft! I have to hide it from my daughter who has inherited my love / scary obsession with the beach. Little does she know she is getting surfing lessons from Hatteras Board Sports as a Christmas gift! If she doesn't break any limbs - the 2nd part of that summer gift will be a surf board. That cupcake makes my teeth hurt! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. We made the trek to Ohio - have to be ay my Mom's for her Thanksgiving dinner. She's not what I call a great cook, but she can make a mean Thanksgiving feast!
Take care sista and enjoy the snow... Love ya - Jen

Funny you mention your first car in your comment, sure brings back memories. I am glad you left that paper with kenidi at my house on Thanksgiving, so cute. So was the cupcake as good as it looked? I haven't got to make a snowman in a long time, I miss the fun. As far as the first car, I think you tried to roll it and turn it into a snowman didn't you girly? A snowcar with pink palm trees on it-too funny!

I love those pictures from the cupcake shop. You need to send the owner some of those. You never know they might use them in print and you could have your name on the bottom. They are so bright and happy. I love that snowman kit, I have to get one of those.
