HER SURPRISE

I've had a ton of you emailing me asking me what Debbie thought of her photo's that I took of the kids and Brent as a birthday surprise for her down on her parents farm. (this past Sunday)From what I could tell, she loved them. It was a big surprise to her. When Brent first handed her the frame of pictures (shown above), I don't think she realized where they were taken until her eyes scanned left and she saw the one on the very far right end. Once she realized it though, the Kleenex's came out. It was a neat moment. Brent was so proud of them and he was so excited to give them to his Mom. He couldn't even wait until the rest of the family got there for her birthday dinner. He just HAD to give them to her the moment we came in the door - even though he had assured me he'd wait when we discussed it in the car on the way there. I've told you how he is about surprises though.

I love the fact that Brent "approves" of or likes my pictures. It does HUGE things for my soul just knowing how proud of my work he is. Whether it be photographs, my clothing or jewelry designs, etc., he is always there to brag on me. As his wife, it means more to me than I could ever express. Brent hands out more of my business cards in one single day to people than I hand out on my own in a whole years time. Although I don't have a professional studio and I truly no nothing about photography on the GRAND SCHEME of things, I do enjoy it a lot and always have. My photography skills need a lot of work and I plan to pursue that mission in the coming year - heavily. However, as we were driving down the highway on Monday, Brent began telling me how much he enjoyed my photography and how talented he feels that I am with it all. I could have been on the "worst photographer of the world" list at that moment, but after he told me all of that -- I felt like I was TOP DAAWWWGGGYYYY DAWG! :

Thanks for all of your support babe! I couldn't do it without you!

Angie,

Do you print your photos from home? Or do you print them at a store? I think your camera is awesome! I need a good camera..

Hi there. Hipmomofboyz, yes, I took those photos for my mother in law. You can read all about the events leading up to why and how in the blog posts below this one. Rachel, sometimes I print my photos at home and other times - when I do big enlargements, say anything over an 8x10, I'll have them printed at a professional photo lab here in town. The pictures you see in the glass frame that we gave Debbie were all printed off of my printer from here at home. Hope this helps some.

They are very good. I'm so excited I'm getting my new Rebel in a few days. My photographer friend is helping me, he is going to let me go on a few shoots. There is a lot to learn. It is a great hobby. I gave up on the sewing. I will stick to the easy stuff in that area. I wish I knew how to sew like you too, amazing work! I Can't wait to get Lauren something really special sometime from you.
