SHIPPING QUEEN

I am shipping like mad this week and working on tying up loose ends as I get ready to hunker down and take several weeks off from sewing orders. So...bare with me as I dig for good blog content throughout all of the hustle and bustle over the next few days. Aside from the normal AGD routine, Brennen starts football next week, we are signing Kenidi up for kindergarten this Thursday evening (Boo-hoo!), I'm finalizing and shopping for treats/gifts for Brennen's teachers birthday on Monday on behalf of 22 sweet, sweet, children in their class, as well as working to prepare my schedule to be in his class or helping at his school a total of three different days next week. Luckily, Brent finished up my AGD taxes and such for me so those are done and out of the way. It was just one more "major" thing checked off the to-do list although my AGD quarterly taxes are already due for 2008 next week. What fun! In the midst of it all, I'm pulling out beads as from my bead stash in order to start pumping out some new jewelry designs during the sewing hiatus. In the meantime, someone sent me this photo of a bracelet that I think all of us busy Moms need.
I find it ever so fitting! Don't you?
Thank goodness I have a monthly get together planned with my girlfriends next Thursday. I'm going to need the break and the laughs for a few hours after these next few days. :)
So...I'm off to the next task for now....
Checking them off - 1 by 1
Much love, Angie

Hey Angie -

I feel your pain! I registered Matthew for kindergarten yesterday morning. My daughter (who thinks Brennen is Zac Efron cute - trust me that's a good thing to a 10 year old little girl) is in 4th grade and registering her for school was hard, but not like it was for Matthew. It's like the last hold on his "babyness" was gone. There won't be any more after him so letting him go and be a big boy has been a struggle for me. Isn't it funny to think when we were growing up, it seemed like it took forever...now that we are Mom's, our kids are another year older in the blink of an eye. My advice to you when you go to register her - take a deep breath, fill out all the paperwork and avoid the urge to lay down in the middle of the floor and scream "YOU CAN'T HAVE HER" HA! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

It was 35 this morning here in NC! I thought after last week's 80 degree temps, I was done with the heavier coats and sweaters, but NOOOOOO they were pulled out again this morning, the kids of course grumbling the whole time. It's going to be warm again at the end of the week and a nice weekend, so I have something to look forward to! Being from Ohio, I am too familiar with the yo-yo weather but it's not supposed to be like this here in NC in the middle of April!!!! I just keep telling myself that summer is coming.

Take care -
Jen
