NEW FAVORITE FIND
I love his clothes, his shoes, his handbags, his baseball caps, etc. Therefore, imagine my surprise when I was strolling thru Dillards last night here in Florida with Brent and the kids when I stumbled upon this in their perfume area. (above) According to the sales associate, it had just been released in the past two weeks. The scent smells wonderful - very summery. I of course had to grab a bottle while there. I didn't know if the rest of you "Ed Hardy" lovers knew that this was out yet. So in case you didn't, I thought I'd share the good news. Go getcha' some! The best part about it is the packaging. Being in the design business, I'm a sucka for packaging. This perfume comes inside a round cylinder with the signature Ed Hardy logo all around it. The front side of the bottle also has that signature skull, flowers, and hearts logo on it. In the picture above, you see the back of the bottle with the signature name on it. Fun, fun, fun!
Last night we were wiped out from the day and came home to lay down and relax for a bit before heading out to dinner. We all ended up laying around until 9pm before we decided we were hungry. Therefore, by the time we went out, all of the restaurants were packed and the smaller food joints closed at 9pm exactly. Therefore, we passed a Perkins that was still open and began craving breakfast for dinner. So....we turned around, went back to Perkins, and enjoyed a late night family dinner until 10:30pm. Brent even commented as we were leaving what a great family meal that was. :)
My point to this story is that while we were in there - one of a select few people left in the restaurant - in marched a group of 14 people - all older couples. When I say older couples, I mean older than 65 and younger than 80. They all sat side by side at this one big table and ordered nothing but big ol' shakes and sundaes with cherries and whip cream on top. They laughed out loud with one another, teased each other, taunted nicely with the waitress they had, and overall - just enjoyed life at 10:30pm on a Monday night in South Florida. I told Brent that had I had my camera with me, I sosoooooooo would've went up to them and asked if I could have snapped a picture of each of them as a group. They were the epitome' of good friends, having fun with the simple pleasures in life, and just plain proof that life is what you make it. I have no idea why their large group struck me so emotionally but it did. While watching these older couples together at Perkins late last night, I couldn't help but hope and pray that I still have that many friends as I age and grow old in life. Friendship is HUGE to me and this group of men and women just made me smile last night. Again, had I had my camera....they would've been gracing the pages of this blog today. :)
Until tomorrow's update, hug your friends, eat chocolate sundaes with whip cream and cherries on top, and make it a point to sit down and consume late night breakfast dinners with your family at Perkins once in a while. Life is what you make it!

Well you are having to much fun without you're ol mommy, great pix,and thank you for my patio table. I really would buy thatb ut it would depress me if it was sitting out in the sun and faded, so I guess until I get an indoor sunroom, I shouldn't buy one. I think that was a neat story about perkins. You will always have lots of friends because you are a true friend-mine too! Thanks for thinking of me xoxoxoxo's to you all.
Hi Angie. Nice to see pics of sunshine! That's the only way we're gonna see any around here! It POURED all the way back from Chicago into Indy last night! :-(

Hi Angie,
I follow your blog and although I enjoy reading it each day, I've never sent you a comment. Today when I woke up to 30 inches of snow, I thought of you and the pictures on your blog yesterday, and figured you might enjoy hearing about the blizzard we had. I wish you could see what I'm looking at. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior and when I say we were snowed in I mean it literally. I couldn't even open up my doors to go outside because I couldn't push the snow out of the way. I'm quite used to snow, but we've had some really nice weather lately and the snow banks were pretty low until about 6:00 last night when it started to blizzard and continued through the night and finally stopped about 1:00 this afternoon, leaving us to dig ourselves out. No April Fools joke here. Please send some sun our way! Have a great vacation.
