MY NEW OFFICE MATE

Meet my new office mate. Wilbur.
I should be doing laundry and packing for vacation but instead...I can't stop stairing into the eyes of this adorable little poser. Wilbur was my gift from my handsome little son this morning right before school. Brennen brings in a school bathroom paper towel wrapped gift and says "Here Mom...open it." I said, well what is it Brennen? He then proceeds to tell me that he made this for me at school during their Charlotte's Web literacy study. They transformed their entire school into a Charlotte's Web wonderland complete with a school carnival and all the night that we left for Chicago a week or two ago. We were sad we had to miss it. Apparently, this little creature that he made was part of the preparation and fun.
Wilbur is now a permanent fixture in my office - right in front of me on my desk. I just love him to pieces. I can remember making stuff like this in art class for my Mom back in the day. However, my things never actually resembled anything. I don't have an ounce of art in my body. I can't paint, draw, etc. Therefore, when Brennen handed me his gift and I opened it and was able to recognize a "pig," I was extremely stoked! He obviously has way more abilities in art class than I ever did. Ha ha! Too fun!
Don't you just love his pinched up and squeezed little tail below?

Wilbur. The face only a Mother could love.

Angie,
Once again, I really enjoyed your blogs. Can you give them the (bloggers for dummies) version on how to set up a blog page like yours? I would love to do this to share with friends and family. Your blogs tell wonderful stories and I absolutely love them.

This is the best gifts you can ever get... love the lil things my boys bring home from school. My boys are one year apart in school and in kgarden they had to make an apple, I have both on my desk and one looks like a half with the stem and everything on it and the other is flat, so i tell everyone that it is a slice of the apple and the other is the apple, I love them and look at them everyday here at work!

That pig is amazing... It really is a pig, my creation also looked like something else :)

Angie,
Wilbur is so adorable. Find a container that he'll fit comfortly in with extra space and a airtight lid to store him in if Brennen should bring another work of art home and you decide to display it and put Wilbur away. I'm a sucker for anything that Brian and Dorian have made me and still have them...note though, boys don't typically create as many "surprise"gifts as girls do at least my experience with boys so you should cherish what ever you get because it might be few and far between.

How cute! My mom still has this little tiny wood cat I made her on her dresser, it's missing an ear but she just loves it. The thing has to be like 25 yrs old! HA!
