WE HAVE A NEW LOOK

WE HAVE A NEW LOOK!

I hope you love it as much as I do. Cathy from Avalon Rose, did her ROCKIN' magic on the new blog and gave me the "newness" I was after. I couldn't have done it better if I would have tried to do it myself. (Gosh knows I can't do graphic design period) I gave her the designs I was after and she brought them to life. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! We are still the same old AGD but with a fresh new look. Over the next few weeks, you'll notice my ME page on eBay changing, my email signature logo at the bottom of each of my emails, our AGD myspace page, auction templates, etc. I wanted to update the AGD look and so we are doing just that. The only thing that will stay the same for the time being is the website itself. That is a much bigger task to tackle and one that will be done should the need ever arise in the distant future. So for now...have fun with me during the changes. :)

PS...If you are reading this update in an email rather than directly here on the blog, visit the blog itself to get a peek at the new look we are talking about. http://www.AngelicaGraceDesigns.com/BLOG/

Blessings, Angie Seaman

Angie I follow your blog and have bought some sandals from you, but I have a question about fabric. I follow what you make Kenidi and I love to sew for my granddaughters and was wondering if you would
share where you find your fabric. I have a hard time finding stuff I like and something that is hip like you use its always so cute. Is it a secret or would you share where you find your fabric.
thanking you in advance.

Hi Judy. Thanks for your note. Unfortunately, I do not have one sole place that I purchase fabrics from. I visit A LOT of fabric stores in my area and some in other cities/states as a day trip when I'm there. I will stock up when on those trips. I also spend a ton of time online - just searching for online fabric stores. I spend countless hours during my free time just hunting down unique fabrics and such. I wish there was one place where I could just get it all but it never works out that way. I find that the uniqueness as a designer comes from that mission of being different and standing alone. That in itself requires fabrics that are out of the box and not something just everyone is using. Another big passion of mine is the matching or coordinating of fabrics. I have a tendency to match things up that most people wouldn't initially pair together. Many times I've had people see fabric swatches before a set was done and go "Ohhhhh, that is what you are designing this in???" However, when the final product is complete, my vision generally comes to life. (not everytime but most times) So....my best suggestion to you would be to just spend some time searching those online sites or your local hole in the wall fabric shop. (The ones most people don't frequent) Vintage fabrics are always great too. Grandma's and Grandpa's are great when it comes to scouting out old and magnificent vintage fabrics because they usually have them stored away somewhere in their own home.

Thanks so much for your interest and for the compliment. It means so very much to me. Happy shopping. Sometimes, the best part of designing is the "hunt" itself in regards to finding those perfect supplies.
Blessings always, Angie Seaman

Thanks so much for sharing! I got caught up on all of your blogs today. The kids are home for a snow day. I have not laughed so much in a while. I loved the one about the elderly lady and her dog. We have a dog, a tea cup poodle, but I cannot stand when people walk on the bike path in front of our home and let their dogs do their business and walk on! Urrrggghhh!!

I have to ask, where is your spring break rental? I loved the picture of the house and we are always looking for somewhere to go. I am also looking for a place for me and my girl friends to go in October. We always getting away once a year from Friday to Monday. Last year we did a cruise. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I have to get that zebra out fit for Miss Keely! We are going to be taking pictures today of her in two of your outfits and I will email them. I still can't figure out how to add my name to the photographs I take. I usually do all of my edits through shutterfly.

I loved your valentine treats! I am going to have to ask you for designs before each holiday! You rock!!

We are going to be downtown Chicago February 29-March 2nd for Abby's 14th birthday. Too bad we were not going the same weekend.

Keep in touch and thanks for everything. I still can't believe that you were only a few miles from my house at the Brentwood Baptist Church while in Tennessee!!

Angie,

LOVE the new look! Very catchy! A couple of months ago on your blog, you had written about a premature baby and the mom that wasn't really responding. Is there any news on them and how they are doing?

Thanks,
Lisa

Thanks you guys! I am glad all of you like it. I know I was thoroughly impressed with Cathy's job well done on the re-design. It is so hard to find a graphic artist who can bring your visions to life. My web gal, Amy and Cathy from Avalon Rose are the best of the best. I really lucked out when getting hooked up with them. I have been working with the both of them for several years now. We all found one another back at the start of my eBay days. Amazing where time takes ya.

And Lisa...yes, baby Gwyneth and Mom Trisha are responding well now. Here is the link to their blog that will give you any updates that you have the time to read. http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/

God is definitely doing his "thang" in that family right now. He is such an awesome GOD! They are an awesome family too.

Thanks again to all of you in regards to the compliments on the blog.
Muaahhhhh!
