VALENTINE TREATS
We are now home and hunkered down - taking it easy - as her healing process begins. Luckily, the medicine that they gave her seems to be working like a charm. PRAISE GOD!
So...unfortunately....she won't be able to give her little valentine treats to her classmates until next Monday. The doc wants her out of school all week this week. At least they are made and ready to distribute though. Brennen will get to give his to his class on Thursday during his Valentine's Day party.
I told Brent that I'm just going to cut my feet off because I can't seem to walk right anymore. I almost wiped out on the bleachers at Brennen's game a couple of weeks ago. (with Kenidi in my arms again) Luckily, by God's grace once more, some kind stranger caught our fall on the way down and "saved" us. Last summer - I totally bit the dust in front of everyone at one of Brennen's football games. I guess those old beat up jeans and rockin' heels aren't always best to wear every day - especially at a football game. Then, about two years ago, I wiped out in front of everyone at Brennen's old school in the middle of the parking lot and ripped a complete hole in my jeans at the knee. We were headed inside for back to school night. I definitely made my appearence known - unwillingly - for back to school. I'm sure the rest of the year I was remembered in the halls when people passed me as "The chick that wiped out on the pavement at back to school night." Great! At least I got my 15 minutes of fame somewhere in life. I'll take it however I can get it. Ha ha! Ok...I'm lying now!
I know you are laughing at me at this point. I'm laughing as I reflect back on all of them. That isn't even the half of them either. I hear you saying..."No we aren't laughing at you (and your clumsiness), we are laughing WITH you Angie. The moments mentioned are just the ones I remember the most because I happened to do it in front of hundreds of people at a time. UGH! Humiliation is not the word. You know those moments when you stand up and pray that no one saw what just happened-what went down-or that YOU were what went down??? You know em' - come on - I know someone is feelin' this out therein blog world. You look around ever so cool and gracefully and "pretend" that nothing just happened. You totally fake the fact that you are in pain. HA! Well, all of those times that I wiped out, I didn't even bother to stand up and try to look graceful. I knew that way too many people had just witnessed my "ungraceful" legs fall out from underneath me and I didn't dare confirm the number of people stairring. Brent teases me all the time because I just can't walk. I am such a klutz. God help me as I continue to age. I'll be breaking every bone in my body.
So..stay tuned...I'm going to use the Self portrait challenge to my advantage this week when it comes to "Blue." In the meantime, pray for me that I can remain standing, walking, and on my feet in public. Will ya? :)
Much love,
Angie (a.k.a. - the "klutz")

With those v-tine treats they will definiety think you are martha_stewart now.
Hi Angie,
Just wanted to pass on my prayers for a speedy recovery for Kenidi. I know all too well about pnemonia in our little ones. My son, Matthew (who is just a month older than Kenidi) had pnemonia last winter. I know the feeling of not knowing what to do. We made a few trips to the ER for his breathing and nostril "flaring" due to not being able to breath right. I know the heart wrenching screams that come from being terrified of the x-ray machine. He was put on antibiotics and given an inhaler for those times when his coughs just were too much. It was a bad week to be a Mom! We went through the same scare a few weeks ago when his coughs again became deep and took his breath away, but thankfully, no pnemonia. Just know my prayers are with Miss Kenidi and your family!!!!
I hope that you will be able to remember how to walk again soon (haha).
Take care!
Jen
Oh thank you so very much Jen. We need all the prayers we can get in this house this week. Ha ha! Seriously though, I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. That pneumonia stuff is so scary. I have never known anyone close to me to have that. I thought maybe she was coming down with the croup or something to begin with. I quickly realized that I was way off. I'm glad your little guy escaped having it again here recently. It must be so scary when they begin to come down with coughs and such again. Not knowing for sure - right?
Also, thanks for the well wishes in my ability to walk again too. I don't know what is wrong with me. Ha ha! I have some serious issue's. That is definitely evident.
Keep in touch girl!
Blessings, Angie Seaman

Oh Kari. You hang in there too. Tis the season - for all the illnesses, eh? Good thing with have a dinner out with the girls this Sunday evening, right? I know I'll be there. (even if you guys are bringing me in on crutches or wheeling me in with a wheelchair) Ha ha! Hope your trip to Florida rocked! I'm so ready to get out of here. Love ya sista! See you Sunday.
Angie
Poor Kenidi! I hope and pray she will feel better soon! Hope you get better too. I, too, can be a klutz, so you aren't alone. Happy Valentine's Day! Robin
Thanks Robin. We so appreciate the prayers. Happy Valentine's Day to too girl!
Blessings, Angie
My poor babies, I am soooo sorry for all you guys are going through! I will be praying, but If I can do anything for any of you let me know, I am off Thursday if you and Brent want to go anywhere I will babysit. I love You all xoxoxoxo mommy, grandma sue
Angie,
My son, now 21 years old, had pneumonia when he was about 2 and a half. He was hospitalized for four days, and it IS scary stuff. I'll pray for you all!
As for your "klutziness", well, we all have a bit of that in us! One summer while walking down Michigan Avenue (in Chicago), I fell flat on my face and smashed up my hand in front of a few hundred tourists. Shopping bags flew, but no one laughed, they CARED, and we all care about you. Though, as I did I advise you yesterday, since you're always on the move, it may be time for some funky sneakers or classy flats!
Be safe, you'll still look trendy! :-)
Ellie from Illinois
Thanks Ellie! Funny thing is - I had some rockin' Nike's on when I fell the other night. Ha ha! (Well they weren't rockin' but they were tennis shoes) It doesn't matter what type of shoe I'm wearing or whether or not I'm carrying Kenidi. In the end, I just can't walk right! :)
My goodness, your poor little sweetie! I'm glad she's on the mend. That's so scary!
I'm laughing at you falling because I just did recently too! I wiped out going down our front porch steps. I was beat and bruised up for several days. *ugh* How embarassing!!
I hope your lil one is on the mend real soon. I know you must have been scared beyond belief.
Hey, I will join you in the Klutz club. I am always stumbling over my feet. LOL!
Linda
I love your valentine treats! I am going to have to ask you for designs before each holiday! You rock!!
We are going to be downtown Chicago February 29-March 2nd for Abby's 14th birthday. Too bad we were not going the same weekend.
Keep in touch and thanks for everything. I still can't believe that you were only a few miles from my house at the Brentwood Baptist Church!! (while you were in Tennessee)
