GIRLS - TROUBLE WITH A CAPITAL "T"

This is a phone message I received on our voicemail this week. Might I preface it by saying that the young lady who left this phone message is 8 years old and one of Brennen's classmates at school. Might I also preface this blog post by saying this is the 4th time she has phoned our home in one week. :)

A voicemail from...., well we'll just call her by a fake name. How about "Annie?" Yeah-that sounds good...we'll use the fictitious name of "Annie."
Her voicemail went - word for word - just like this:
Hi Brennen! It's me "Annie."
Ummmm.....I know you probably want to talk to me but I'm kind of busy with my girlfriends. (then... you hear other possible 8 year old girls laughing in the background)
Oh, and I'm soooooo glad that you and me are starting to get along now.
Well, not really, but in my dreams.
(then...other possible 8 years old girls in the background chime in and remind her to say not in "my" dreams but well...in "your" dreams.)
And oops...yeah...not in my dreams but in YOUR dreams!
And don't worry....I'm NEVER going to give up.
I'll always love you!
Tu da!
(We guessed that this slang or phrase was supposed to mean "bye.")
Girls...I told ya - Trouble with a capital "T."
Stay away from my boy!!! I don't need him finding a wife at this age. I need to be that "best girl" for a lot longer! Ha ha! :) I'm sure it is hard to resist this handsome little #50 though...
OK-I'm a Mom-being a bit biased now! He's just so dang cute - I could just squeeze him!
Reminds me of back when his Daddy used to play football.
Girls....we are trouble with a capital "T."

Laughed about the little girl calling Brennen. Too funny! I don't know if you were ever a big fan of the show Friends, but on the last episode when Monica was there for the birth of her baby boy (she was adopting) she held him as soon as he was born and said "Hi sweetie, I'm your mommy, and no girl will ever love you as much as I love you!!"

I swear I am going to have made into a plaque and hung in my boys rooms!! HA!
