A "MUST" VISIT-A MUST "PRAY" FOR...

Because of my openness regarding my faith, it is not unusual for me to receive several emails a week asking for me to pray for another family or for something that has happened in life - even if I don't know the individual it surrounds. I was approached via email a few days ago explaining the story regarding what you are about to read and then asking if I'd pray for this family. With that said, I am feeling overwhelmingly compelled to post a link to another blog here today. The family you will read about and grow to love has just undergone a tremendous amount of stress and joy all in one lumps sum in a very short period of time. I don't know this family personally. However, I feel as though I have truly fallen in love with their love for God and am completely and utterly inspired by their faith at this moment. I'm getting to know them more and more everyday because of their postings on the husband, Nathan's blog. They are a young couple from the east coast. Tricia, the wife and now very recent mother, has CF. (cystic fibrosis) She was due to undergo a double lung transplant recently until the doctors discovered she was pregnant. Due to the CF, and the transplant she needs, she underwent a c-section one week ago to deliver "Gwyneth," their new baby girl. Gwyneth is a very early preemie because of the circumstances surrounding her Mother's illness. She was delivered at 26 weeks. (weighing in at a tiny 1lb. 6oz) As you can see by her photo, she is so small, so young, and yet so stunningly beautiful all at the same time. The kicker to this story is that the Mother, Tricia, is still under meds that keep her asleep. She is on a vent right now and doesn't even know she has become a Mother at this point. She has been asleep for one week on a vent since the birth and their daughter has now been awake for one week. It's an amazing story of love, fear, faith, God, family, and friends. This is what life is all about. Moments like these. Times like these - when we need others to rally around us, lift us up, and pray for us. Although I do not know this family personally, I do know that I would love to have the prayers if I were in their shoes. They have thousands of people across the world that have learned of their story and are now praying for their best. Tricia has to be weaned from the sedation medication slowly because she is on a vent. The most critical point is still to come....her double lung transplant. I ask that you please lift this family up in your prayers. You can keep up to date - minute by minute - by reading their blog here:
Nathan continues to post and update with photos of baby Gwyneth and his thoughts on how Tricia is doing coming off the sedation medication. If you are like me, you will instantly feel like you need to do "something" for this family. I'm praying incessantly that God will see them thru this journey. Again, as my motto goes, "There are years that will ask and there are years that will answer. In the end, God NEVER wastes pain!"

GOD IS GOOD - ALL THE TIME!

Please forward this to anyone and everyone you know that will be willing to pray for this family. As we all know, there is MUCH power in prayer!

What a heart wrenching situation! Thanks for sharing it and giving us the opportunity to pray for them. Reminds me of how so many people across the country prayed for Bradford and how thankful I am for that.

I have your same heart Angie! I am speechless and touched so deeply by this. I had to send Nate a message. People are so focused by what they "don't" have instead of thanking God for all they do.
God Bless you and your family!

I'll make it a point to visit your blogs often and pray for you when God puts you in my mind.

In His love,
Tracy

Angie, I really can not get your email out of my mind. I think the Lord made that woman venture onto your website for a reason.
I too have prayed for baby Gwyneth and her family. I have been in their shoes to a point. Like I haveve told you before, my daughter was born 4 months early weighing only 1 lb and 13 ounces. She was in the NICU for 111 days, the hospital was about 2 hours away from our house and I went back to work only two weeks after she was born so that I could save up my maternity leave for when she finally did come home. I know the ups and downs of nicu life and know that with faith and prayer they will make it.

Enjoy your weekend. Christina from Illinois

OH MY!!! Couldn't stop crying! They are a strong family with a strong faith! This brought back a flood of memories. This reminded me of when our son Miles was in the NICU on a vent, morphine, and awaiting all sorts of testing. It is such a horrible pain to see your child suffering and to not have any ability to "fix it." He
did have a little over 11 inches of his small intestine removed. He is a tough little man now! He
still has a heart defect, but it shouldn't cause any big problems for him. This site really hit me too because my son's intestinal problem (ileal atresia) is common in cystic fibrosis carriers, and I had to be tested. I was not a carrier. I know in the beginning it was hard to sometimes see light at the end of the tunnel or to even understand why you are facing this. I really feel for this
family. I can't even imagine how hard it would have been had my husband been facing health problems too. If you are directly talking to him please tell him his
family is in our prayers as well!

Your children are so beautiful! I am glad to see updates! Glad all is well with your family and I hope
you had a joy-filled Christmas!

Hey Angie, I just wanted to let you know that I too have been following the Story about Trica, Nathan and baby Gwyneth, and have been praying for them daily! I don't know if you have checked the blog today or not, but Nathan is looking for someone to make jewelry for his "two girls" and I thought of you. You are amazing, and I know you would be able to make him what he wants and 100 times better then he can imagine!!
THanks for all the updates on your family and little Kenidi, I pray for her all the time too!

Angie, Just looking through your archives and found this story. Amazing to see how Nate, Tricia, and Baby Gwyn are doing these days! She's getting so big and they bought their first home and Tricia had gotten post transplant lymphoma, went through chemo and is in remission! God is good All the time! :-)
