FLYING HIGH

Remember me telling you about this?
Well if you don't - I'm here to refresh your memory.
This big, bad, boy just got dropped off by the Fed Ex man this afternoon. All 36 x 48" of it.

This is the final piece that I was waiting on for my studio here at home. I worked with my dear friend Sherri on the design and she nailed it. I told her I wanted a pair of wings with a harlequin background. Background done in pink and white with turquoise splatters of paint. Then, I sent her a quote that I wanted on it as well as the fonts I liked. In the end, it is exactly what I had hoped for and more. I always knew Sherri was a talented artist because I've worked with her before. However, having my very own customized piece here and in person makes me realize even more so just how awesome she is. I'm tellin' ya...the girlz got skillz!
It's just massive and I love it. I can't wait for Brent to hang it on my wall in the studio tonight. Next up, painting those walls. Now that I have this piece, I can finally decided on the shade of pink I need to paint in there. Sherri girl...thanks for making my heart swell today. You are incredible sista'!
The only thing better than receiving this today was probably the look that my mail lady got to see on my face as I was on the floor, in my entry way, with nothing but my short robe on. Yes, straight out of the shower and on the floor in my skivvies snapping pictures of this RAWKIN' painting. All of a sudden someone knocks on the glass to my front door. Keep in mind that our double doors are all glass. You can see straight in to everything. I look up in horror only to see my mail lady there waving at me. She dropped off a package on our porch that wouldn't fit in the mailbox. EEEKKKKKKK! Needless to say, I was totally embarrassed and my heart was racing about 90 miles an hour. Thank GOD she was a female. I'm sure what she saw was enough to scare her to outer space and back. I'm sure I'm the talk of the post office today. She probably went back and mentioned the quack job she observed laying on the floor in her entry way half "neked" with a camera. None of those words will ever produce a good story. Quack job, Neked, on the floor, with camera....uh nope....
Nothin' good is going to come out of this story. I'm bettin' my life on it.
Blushin' in horror and smilin' - Angie

Alicia, you are too funny. I have OCD issue's with keeping our house organized and picked up 98% of the time. However, I am not one that cleans freakishly or deep cleans. If you were to walk into my home right now it would look clean and organized - nothing laying out - etc. However, look at the cracks and crevices and you'll find the dust bunnies. I do have someone come in and clean it about once every 4-6 weeks when it gets really bad and needs that deep cleaning it deserves. For instance though, I'm doing laundry and folding clothes as I run to and fro' throughout the house trying to get stuff knocked off my to do list before the kids come off the bus. I don't like to clean and therefore don't like to spend a lot of time doing it - EVAH! Thank goodness for my Dad and his organization OCD gene that he passed off to me though. At least our house looks spotless and can fake it when it really isn't. Ha ha!

Hugs, Angie

Yeah - I figured with it just being a pair of wings, that it would work for both AGD and the new photography biz. Ya know? The wings are such a symbol or staple in all areas of my life and both businesses. I thank God everyday for the wings he loans me when I've lost mine. Gosh knows I'm constantly needing back up pairs. Ha ha!

Love ya girl!

That is amazing! Can't wait to see it up!

I have to comment about house cleaning - you have the right attitude!

When we were growing up, we could never leave the house on Saturday's until our rooms were clean. My mother always was cleaning the house and cooking - what else did they do back in the 60's and 70's?

Anyway, before my mom passed away 13 years ago one of the last things she said to me was that she was so sorry that she had spent so much time over the years cleaning her house when she should have been spending time with us kids. She told me not to worry about the house - but spend time with my kids - so that's what I do.

I try to pick up daily, sweep the floors when needed and the bathrooms are always up to date. Other than that my deep cleaning gets done when needed.

There are more important things in life than cleaning!

Loving the wings. And how they remind me of you. But I can't imagine a blushing angel. Hee Hee. Can't wait to see the office and hey, how about a shot of the Christmas tree with all the presents underneath? Please share. Because of Alicen being in the hospital for so long I haven't gotten around to getting ours up but I have promiced Alicen that this weekend would be THE weekend. Favorite time of the year since having little girl. Her eye sight is improving so I can't wait to see how she reacts to the lights on the tree. Flashing lights makes her seizures increase so I had to get all new lights but that's o.k. Happy holidays. Christina (a preemie mom
