DAY 29

(My Dad and I working on our laptops earlier today. Love this picture!
Hi all. Just in from dinner with the fam. We hit Dillard's tonight and did some school shopping for Brennen and Kenidi and then finished it up with a nice big, fat, meal. I almost went to jail again because of a comment that some lady made about Kenidi and her outburst inside Dillard's. I actually had to calm Brent this time because it was so bad. Basically the lady's exact words were to us after witnessing Kenidi's frustration was that "someone needed to go back out to the car." (inferring Kenidi) By the time we conversed and shared our "choice" words with this lady, Brent and I were trembling to the point of visible despair. It was not a pretty sight. My last words to her were that next time "she had best be careful before opening her mouth like that again." Later at one point upstairs, I looked at Brent and he was in a total daze. He looked me dead in the eye and goes..."Ang, I'll keep the kids while you go back downstairs and find that lady. Go find her and just let her have it." HA HA! Either way, we are home, resting on the couch, enjoying family time with my dad and Cathy. In fact, we are all hunkered down watching the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun."
(Ever seen a live shrimp up close before it is cooked and turns pink? This is a photo of one that they used for bait today.)
As you can see, we went fishing again today. Today was different in the fact that Brent came along and fished too - for the first time - E V A H - in his life. It was a hoot watching Brennen try to teach his Dad how to cast and fish. It was even more hysterical watching Brent actually try to follow through. I managed to capture these shots of his day and his first fishing experience.
The best part to this story is that Brent has always made fun of individuals who fish. He teases all of us about the point to it and why one would want to waste time fishing. By the end of the day, he was stealing the pole from his own son just to try again. Ha ha! It was hysterical! He always says that he is an extremist in all he does. I guess the same goes with fishing today too.
ABOVE: I love this shot. It looks as though Brent is reeling in a big one. Brennen is even holding up his finger like "oh wait...hold on...it's comin'....!" Then, up out of the water comes this....(see below)...
It's big Bertha! I kid you not...we laughed until we cried over the size of Brent's fish. For a first timer, catching a minnow isn't so bad. HA! He later went on to cast out and use that little guy as bait.
ABOVE: Another bird I found during our excursion.
ABOVE: Brennen with the grouper he caught today.
ABOVE: Another rainbow - almost a double rainbow if you look close enough.
ABOVE: My Dad and Cathy with the kids overlooking the bridge at Coconut Point.
ABOVE: Brennen and Kenidi outside the Island Girl boutique

And lastly, just wanted to share this one of Brennen getting his foils/highlights done yesterday at a salon here. Too funny! We are going back to school with a funky new look. He's just way tooooo cool! Ha ha! For now, I am off to bed. It's been fun! I'll touch base again tomorrow or Tuesday. In the meantime, just a reminder that we have only 7 more days until the BIG reveal regarding our news next week. 7 more days...

This time next week....well....hang tight to find out. Much love, Angie

I love the pictures from the last couple of days, what great memories for all!

Would there be a chance you would post a follow up picture of Brennen? (tell Brennen its for Dominick!!) I have been trying to talk Joe into letting me do a "california comb"/highlights in Dominicks hair for the last year! This spring while Joe was out of town, I actually ran some cream bleach through the top Dominick's hair! And he loved it, he kept checkin' himself out in the mirror! I would love to show both of them the updated picture tomorrow because they are both in bed right now and have not seen todays blog!!

Thanks girl!

P.S. I pity the poor lady in Dillards for bring such a nasty old hag and not simply minding her own business--I have no idea how you guys did not knock her out!

Ang,
Glad Brent enjoyed fishing. Chad, Bailey, and I are the kind of people that Brent makes fun of! (We love to fish) Brent needs to go more often. Its a great way to relax! As long as he leaves the cell phone behind.

Who's laughing at who now? Just kidding Brent. Glad you found some time to enjoy yourself.

Isn't it amazing how fast we can go from just plain ol` mom to fierce mamma bear. People tend to stare at Alicen because she is in a wheel chair, that really bothers me to no end.

Love your pictures, especially the rainbow. Really shows God's awesome ability.

Can't wait to hear your big news.

Loved all the great pics you shared! Can't wait to see how Brennen's hair turned out!! We definitely need a follow up pick w/ his new highlights.

Sorry about the horrible lady at Dillards. When will people learn to mind their business. Obviously she has never had children...otherwise she would know that everyone's kids have a meltdown at some time. I know mine do...At any rate, big hugs to you and Brent!!

Hi guys, Boy some of the folks in florida need to be up here at this hospital, if they had to deal with some of these kids, and their parents, well they would probably have a heart attack. Now about my son in law, don't you guys be picking on him. He does everything just great! He dosen't work on cars, however, he probable could, if he set his mind to it. Did he ever catch one any bigger than the minow that day? ha ha love ya Brent! Ok, now for the blond haired kid, where are the pictures? I have noticed I haven't seen any of my daughter lately either. Everyone looks beautiful. Hey Angie, why aren't you fishing? How's miss kenidi? miss you all, xoxoxo mommy/grandama sue
